PUBLIC NOTICE Allegheny County and the City of McKeesport, Municipality of Penn Hills, City of Pittsburgh, Borough of Swissvale, and Borough of Wilkinsburg are eligible for a Joint Award of $336,380 in grant funding under the U.S. Department of Justice 2014 Local Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program. Funds will be allocated as follows: Allegheny County $110,496, City of McKeesport $31,386, Penn Hills $13,563, City of Pittsburgh $153,718, Swissvale $9,002, and Wilkinsburg $18,215. The funds will be used for police vehicles (McKeesport), law enforcement technology and equipment (Penn Hills, Pittsburgh, Swissvale, Wilkinsburg, and Allegheny County), youth crime prevention programs in City of Pittsburgh, and personnel in Allegheny County: paralegal in the District Attorney's Mental Health Unit, a Victim Specialist in the Shuman Center, and personnel for emergency response training in the Sheriff's Office.
