LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT: INVITATION FOR BIDS - CONTRACT #ACHA-1529 – 1/GC BOILER ROOM FIRE PROOFING AT GOLDEN TOWERS The Allegheny County Housing Authority (ACHA) is requesting bids from qualified firms for BOILER ROOM FIREPROOFING AT GOLDEN TOWERS. Bid Documents will be on file and may be obtained after Thursday12/February/2015 at the Allegheny County Housing Authority, 625 Stanwix Street, 12th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA, 15222, or by contacting the ACHA at 412-402-2464. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Thursday,19/February/2015, at 10:00AM at Allegheny County Housing Authority Central Office, 625 Stanwix Street, 12th Floor, PA 15222. Bids are due by 2:00 PM. local time on Thursday, 5/March/2015 at the Allegheny County Housing Authority, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The ACHA encourages responses from small, minority, and women owned firms, as well as firms that have not previously performed work for the ACHA. Terms & Conditions: The Allegheny County Housing Authority reserves the rights to reject any and all bids, or waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of at least sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the ACHA. By submission of a bid, the bidder agrees, if its bid is accepted, to enter into a contract with the ACHA in the form included in the contract documents to complete all work as specified or indicated in the contract documents for the contract price and within the contract time indicated in the attached IFB. The bidder further accepts all of the terms and conditions of the IFB including, without limitation, those dealing with deposit of bid guarantee. Bidders should be advised that, prior to award of any contract, the ACHA reserves the right to conduct a pre-award survey for the purpose of determining the bidder's responsibility and capacity to perform the contract. This survey may include a review of subcontracting agreements, financial capacity, and quality of work performed on other contracts. All bids must be signed and dated. If a joint venture is submitting the bid, each joint venturer must sign the bid. Bid Bond: A certified check or bank draft payable to the Allegheny County Housing Authority; U.S. Government Bonds; or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The surety must be a Guarantee or Surety Company acceptable to the U.S. Government as published in U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570 and licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds as approved by the U.S. Government in U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570.
