Oakmont Civil Service Commission Notice of Examination The Borough of Oakmont Civil Service Commission will conduct a Written Examination in accordance with the Pennsylvania Borough Code, the Code of the Borough of Oakmont and the Borough's "Civil Service Rules and Regulations." Applications for the Written Examination may be obtained at the Borough Offices, 767 Fifth Street, Oakmont, Pennsylvania from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, prevailing time, Monday thru Friday. Applicants must pick up and return the application in person, present a valid Driver's License at pick up, and pay a $35.00 application fee. At the time of application, each applicant must be in compliance with Section A208, §§ 17-D and 17-E of the "Civil Service Rules and Regulations" of the Code of the Borough of Oakmont which can be found on the Borough's website, www.oakmontborough.com, under "Regulations/Code." Successful candidates must be willing to establish residency within 10 (ten) air miles of the Oakmont Police Department at 769 Fifth Street, Oakmont, Pennsylvania. Beginning compensation for the position of full-time police officer, as of 2015, is $58,492.13 with fringe benefits.
