ALLEGHENY COUNTY LEPC / CCC NOTICE TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES In accordance with the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act, the County of Allegheny County hereby gives official notice of meetings and the public availability of information for the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) established under the Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act (SARA) Title III, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know and PA Act 1990-165, the Hazardous Material Emergency Planning and Response Act, as amended. The LEPC is responsible for emergency planning activities, working with Allegheny County Emergency Management, related to hazardous chemicals within the County of Allegheny. Such activities include notifying the public of the availability of related information. In addition, the LEPC serves as the Citizen Corps Council (CCC) for Allegheny County and meetings convene immediately following the regularly scheduled LEPC meetings. The mission of the CCC, working with Municipal Emergency Management, is to train citizens to be prepared and respond to emergencies of all kinds and to be safer in helping their neighbors when disaster strikes. Members of the interested public are invited to attend any or all meetings, which convene at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesdays on the following dates in calendar year 2015: January 21, March 18, May 20, September 16 and November 18. All meetings are held at the Allegheny County Emergency Management Office located at 400 North Lexington Street, Pittsburgh, PA, 15208, where members of the interested public may also review plans, data sheets, forms and follow-up notices, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Those persons needing special communications services should notify Emergency Management at least 48 hours prior to the date and time of the scheduled meeting dates as announced above.
