THE Allegheny County Volunteer Board for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program is anticipating the receipt of funding for calendar year 2014-15. These funds will be allocated by the Board to agencies providing emergency shelter, congregate meals, or rental assistance to the homeless or those in danger of being homeless. Agencies must be non-profit, non-discriminating and be able to demonstrate their capacity to spend these funds efficiently. During calendar year 2013, the Allegheny County jurisdiction received and awarded a total of $479,651 from the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.
